aster fing 1996 an zu malen, als sie noch im frauenhaus in manila arbeitete. von anfang an setzt sie sich in ihren bildern bewusst mit der situation von frauenlesben auseinander. ein weiteres thema ist das leben von tieren und die natur. in ihren meist farbenfrohen motiven spiegeln sich ihre politischen vorstellungen, ihre phantasien, träume und leidenschaften. aster hat ihre arbeiten schon in den philippinen, in der schweiz, in deutschland und tschechien ausgestellt.

aster started to paint in 1996 while she was still working at the women’s crisis center in manila. from the beginning, her art has consciously dealt with the situation of women/lesbians. an additional theme is animal life and nature. her colorful and clear images reflect her political visions, her fantasies, dreams and passions.

aster has exhibited her work in the philippines, in switzerland, germany and the czech republic.
